Sometimes it happens: you have to miss class. In addition to using the readings and study-guides to help stay caught up, I strongly recommend getting notes from a classmate, since the exams are based on the way we're covering the material in class. However, I've also put together a collection of videos and occasional short essays that can help if you have no other options or if your friend's notes are incomplete. Most of the videos and essays below are from a reputable online art history site called smarthistory.org, which has been created by PhD-credentialed art historians (including some essays by me). Again, these are not a substitute for coming to class and taking good notes since they in many cases don't cover all the works and concepts that will be on the exam, but they'll help you bridge a gap in your notes or provide you with some basic understanding of the material. As always, if you have questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.
